Last Tuesday (the 9th of August), we celebrated Women’s Day at Bizweni Church. This year, we held an intimate celebration to focus on the women of our house. We used the opportunity to focus on building deeper connections among ourselves, and becoming a stronger more unified group of women.
It was a huge honour to be able to celebrate some of the women who have served our community tirelessly over the years. Each woman in our church is worthy of mention, but this Women’s Day we took the opportunity to recognise a small handful of women who so many of us have been impacted by, and who are a constant source of inspiration.
Our Powerful Women
These are the women we felt deserved special mention, and the words that come to mind when we think of them:
Adelaide, for Hospitality.
Salome, for Doing in Humility.
Auntie Lenie, for Strong Word Carrier & Intercessor.
Auntie Maude, for Perseverance.
Auntie Gwen for Dedication.
Auntie Doreen, for Faithfulness.
Auntie Jeanette, for Endurance.
Annalisa, for Faithfulness.
Linda, for being a Pillar in the House.
We would also like to take this opportunity to welcome our new Women’s Ministry team, Heather Whitman & Beaulah Sinden. We thank these two awesome women for the huge amount of love and effort they put into their first women’s event and are so excited to see what the future has in store for them! We thank God for women like you and pray that He guides you in everything you do.
