We are dealing with the truth of the new creation. The word ‘new’ in the original New Testament Greek is the word ‘kainos’, meaning new, unprecedented, has never been before. We are a new creation in Jesus Christ because of His finished works. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new (kainos) creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come (2 Cor. 5:17). To what extent has it become a reality in our daily life? Put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth (Eph. 4:24). I am a new creation and I want to see that play out in my life, in my decisions, in my desires, in my life. A new creation must manifest. For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation (Gal 6:15).
Jesus was not the second Adam, He was the last Adam! He is also the first of a new humanity. We are part of that new humanity! He is the pattern Son. He is the Head and we must grow up into Him who is the Head (Eph. 4:15). All of this I wrap up in a new phrase, “a New Era.” We are in a new era and to this new creation in Christ, will be given the keys of the kingdom of heaven. This ‘kainos’ creation will be a people who will understand the times and seasons like the sons of Issachar (1 Chron. 12:32).
Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Cor. 2:9). What a powerful word love (‘agape’) is. You can be a theologian and you can quote the Bible from cover to cover, but if you do not love God and you have not had a personal experience of Him, it will not help you much. Love Him! For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God (1 Cor. 2:10). This new grace, this understanding of the new era is presently happening around the globe. Make sure that you are part of that, and that becomes a real thing in your life.
Spy out your inheritance with childlike, innocent, ‘kainos’ faith. If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your heart, ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you (John 15:7 AMP). There is a condition! You must become a part of the life union with Christ. This is the underlying theme: oneness with Christ! So, when we are vitally united with Him and His words remain in us and continue to live in our hearts, we can ask whatever we will, and it shall be given to us. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Ps. 37:4).
Jesus the pattern Son, was in heaven on earth. (John 3:13). There was no gap between heaven and earth in Jesus. So it will be and should be in us. At one time a crowd tried to push Jesus down a cliff. The people were angry, dragging Jesus who was in heaven on earth, to get Him to the edge of a cliff. But passing through their midst, He went His way (Luke 4:28-30). What happened? He switched dimensions – He was in heaven on earth. He walked through them. He was in another dimension. This can happen to us.
In another event, the disciples were in a boat in a strong wind and they were struggling to row to the other side. When they were about halfway, they suddenly saw Jesus walking on the sea and they were frightened. But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” So they were willing to receive Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going (John 6:16-21). Immediately the second half of the journey ‘collapsed’. This is talking about the corporate incarnation that you and I have to experience: Christ in us the hope of glory (Col. 1:127). When they took Him into the boat, immediately they were on the other side; it talks about acceleration. If we are asking, “How long Lord?” – then bring Him into the “boat”!
This is our major challenge, to not see Jesus as a distant person and just love reading about His history. We must experience Him in the here and now as Him being in us. Me in Him and Him in me. At the pace things are going in the world now, the end-time dates, predictions and prophecies about the second coming etc, it could go on for a long time! There is no date on the calendar set for it, only God knows when. He sees everything from the finish. In God’s eyes, He sees the finished product through what His Son Jesus paid on the Cross. But you and I can delay things by not becoming part of Him and Him becoming part of us. Take Him on board, in your “boat”, in your life; take Him into the church life. Let Jesus be an integral part of our fellowship. That is what communion is all about: the incarnation.
Now regarding our mastery over creation: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion… (Gen. 1:28 KJV). The King James Version is the only translation that uses the word ‘replenish’ in this verse. ‘Re’ in front of a word means to repeat. What they inherited was empty and void; but it was not created that way. For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited), “I am the LORD, and there is none else”.(Is 45:18) God said, “Replenish the earth.” Sadly, we were born in a very different world. The consequence of the fall of man was a twisting in our relationship with the planet and the living beings on it. For all of the universe groans and is in travail until now. Creation has a deep and abiding hope for you to learn your relationship with it and to see it set free. It is waiting for the manifestation of the Son in the sons (Rom. 8:19). There is the incarnation again. That was God’s purpose with Adam and Eve. He created them in His image and likeness. God wanted them to make God visible again in creation. Unfortunately, the Fall took place and from that time on people began to cry and call upon the name of the Lord (Gen. 4:26), but before the Fall Adam and Eve had walked with God daily in the garden. They had intimate fellowship with God. That is what God wants to restore through the new ‘kainos’ creation.
The saddest and most difficult verse to understand is where God was sorry that He had made man (Gen. 6:6). Wickedness prevailed and things went haywire, but then He found Noah, who walked with God. Jesus says, “As it was in the days of Noah so shall it be in the days of the coming (Parousia=presence) of the Son of Man” (Matt. 24:37). We see here that God is still waiting for a new ‘kainos’ creation to rule and do what God initiated and desired to see in Adam and Eve. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16) as a LIFE GIVING SPIRIT. This time it has to go all the way; it has to multiply, rule and reign.
There was a man (Enoch) who also had a personal, intimate walk with God – a relationship with God – and He was not, for God took Him (Gen 5:24). In the book of Jude, it talks about Enoch who was the seventh from Adam who prophesied. There is a book called the book of Enoch. It used to be part of the books of the Bible. Who knows why it was taken out of the Bible, because Jude quotes from the book of Enoch. The responsibility now is upon the Ecclesia – the true Church of God on earth. The newspapers talk about cyclones, earthquakes, and other things happening on the earth as “acts of God”. Are all these shakings and devastations acts of God? Or does it show us where the Church should have been to rule and reign? God wants the Ecclesia to rule and have dominion because of their oneness with God.
The Bible says the earth became formless and void (Gen. 1:2). The Hebrew words are ‘tohu’ and ‘bohu’. The Bible translations do not use the word ‘became’, but say the earth ‘was’ formless and void. The Lord who created the heavens, He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited (Is. 45:18). He did not create it a waste place; it became that way. That is why He told Adam and Eve to replenish the earth (to do it again). How is it that the world became void and formless? He formed it to be inhabited, then things went badly wrong! However, God has a plan and that plan still stands. This is why we are going through what can be called a mind-quake. We have to get out of our limited, religious mindsets about things like this. There is a quest and hunger in every man for God. God has found a remnant in the earth that is breaking through religious mindsets, who are not scared to bring back that which the New Age has perverted and hijacked from the Church. Many of the early saints understood this; they found the mystic secret of God, which is Christ (Col. 2:2 AMPC).
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” (John 6:35). “For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him” (John 6:55-56). We need a better understanding and experience of the communion!
