The world is currently finding itself in an ever- deepening crisis. The word “crisis” not only speaks of a time of intense difficulty and danger but also of opportunity. The question is: “How do we as believers respond to crisis, circumstances or challenges?” Remember that in every crisis there is always an opportunity! We always need to have an expectation for an intervention from God. God shows Himself strong on behalf of those who wait for Him. Psalm 42:11 “But, O my soul, don’t be discouraged. Don’t be upset. Expect God to act! For I know that I shall have plenty reason to praise him for all that he will do. He is my help! He is my God!
Samaria was surrounded and besieged by the Syrian army resulting in such a great famine that the people in the city were starving to death and resorted to cannibalism. At the height of the crisis, the word of the Lord came to Elisha the Prophet. 2 Kings 7:1 “Then Elisha said, Hear the word of the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.” Look at God’s solution to the crisis. At the entrance to the gate of Samaria were four lepers. They decided to do an appreciation of their situation and circumstances and they made a decision to act! Many times we sincerely think that the proof of our faith is to just passively sit and wait for God to show up so He can do the miracle. God’s answer is for you is to realize that you need to get up and change your mindset, your position, change your posture and attitude. You become the miracle!
The greatest risk in life is to risk nothing!
