Matthew 10 contains some of the most potent instructions given my Jesus to his disciples. The mission, being sent into the world, is often taken on too casually. These verses highlight that it is not a matter of ‘gong about out lives’ with the occasional Godly interaction here and there.  It is a strategic positioning of people with faith in hostile territory with the mission to speak the truth – even at the cost of being hated for it. Ultimately, Jesus encourages His disciples by assuring them that those who acknowledge Christ before men will be acknowledged before God by Him. Our mission today is to stand firm on the truth, and to trust that His providence is sufficient for the mission at hand.
