Environment And Presence

We need to pick up the frequency of the Holy Spirit; we have to tune in our receiver. We have to exercise our spirit man (Eph. 5:14), pick up the frequency of the Spirit of God and respond to that. We have to be tuned spiritually, not just naturally. Our spirit-man exalts God. He responds to thanksgivings and not to moaning. He responds to the corporate opening of our mouths. Thanksgiving must come out of our mouth to express our thanksgivings to God (Ps. 100:5; Ps. 106:1; Ps. 107:1: Ps. 136:3; Ps. 118:29). When we respond corporately and when we release something from our spirit man, God responds with His presence and we know in our spirit-man He is here. We release something of His presence; we do not only come for presence, we release presence; we release who we are. In the corporate environment we can release the presence of God.

True Confidence

I want to talk to you about confidence. What increases confidence? Paul is challenging the Philippians to stay focused on what he taught them because a group had moved into that church telling them that their faith in Christ was not enough and that they needed to add things to their faith in Christ. They wanted the Philippians to become Jews first as they took the route to becoming Christ followers.

Strong Faith In Difficult Times

In hope against hope he believed, so that he might become a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb; yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform (Rom. 4:18-21).

Where Is God When It Hurts?

Every morning we have an opportunity to build our lives and steer our lives in the right direction away from destruction. Nothing can separate me from the love of God (Rom. 8:35-39). God’s love is so wide – it covers the grid of our own experience and reaches to the whole world. God’s love is so long it will continue for your whole life, forever God’s love will be there. It is so high that it reaches to the height of all your celebrations and elations. It is so deep that it reaches to the depth of your discouragement and despair, and even into death. No matter what happened to you, no matter what you have done, nothing can separate you from the love of God.

The Journey Of Faith (When Good People Happen To Bad Things)

When it comes to faith and the faith journey, we all have our ups and downs. The downs are just as ok as the ups. I have always be deeply suspicious of people who portray the life of faith in a kind of triumphalist way; never a dark moment, never a doubt, never a fear, it is just not real. In fact whenever someone tells me that they have never had a moment of deeply probing religious doubt, I find myself wondering whether they have ever had a moment of vital religious conviction either. One fact stands above all else in the history of God’s people that the price of great faith is the continuous struggle to find it, to keep it and to share it, right there at the heart of the journey of God’s people. When you talk about faith some people picture it as quiet, undisturbed trust etched on a serene and shining face. They see amidst the world’s chaos this placid lake of shimmering water under the moon.

Inspired By Grace

How do we help the Church to grow into its stature? Love is costly. God so loved the world that He gave His Son; it cost Him. God does not want us to grow apart from Him; it does not mean He wants to keep us immature, but connected to the Source. He is committed to you through thick and through thin. We are connected through blood. Crucifixion was the worst torture instrument you could have.

Growing Into Wisdom And Stature

And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men (Luke 2:52). We find in Jesus this example that we can reach. As the body of Christ we need to reach the stature of the whole man. This speaks about process. It is not an issue of falling, it is not a jump; it is a process. If you want to reach the deepest waters you have to go through a process (Ezek. 47:1-6). We understand from the natural body that everything that lives will grow up. Growing is part of our nature. The Greek meaning is to push and advance, to propel ourselves. It is difficult to grow up because the cost of our clothing, shoes, and food changes. Growing has its costs.

Rest In The Day Of Trouble (Is Your Soul At Rest?)

I want to talk about the day of trouble as Habbakuk the prophet sees from a kingdom perspective. He sees a day of trouble, but in the day of trouble he sees a day of rest. When I heard, my body trembled; My lips quivered at the voice; Rottenness entered my bones; And I trembled in myself, That I might rest in the day of trouble. When he comes up to the people, He will invade them with his troops (Hab. 3:16). He is going to invade the nations with His troops. Habbakuk receives a prophetic vision from God that Judah will be taken captive by the Chaldeans.

God’s Plan For His Sons

The Lord is raising the water level. I saw the waters knee deep but the Lord wants to bring us waters to swim in, waters that will take us off our feet, where we will float and lose our own control; where we lose our ability to keep things in our order. It means we must release our order so we can contain the order of the Lord.

A Prophetic Declaration Of The Risen Christ

Series: Visiting Speakers

Sun am 24 April 2011 – Leon du Toit

Rom 1:5; Hos 6:2; Rom 4:25

The Word became flesh; the eternal Logos – in whom and through whom all were created. Our creator God became like us, to live in a human body; to reveal nothing of the Adam nature, but the Truth – the revelation of the glory that belonged to man. Because of sin, we fell short of the glory of God. The Lamb of God, that takes away the sins of the world, so that humanity can be restored – to be what His Son is. One died for all, therefore all died, and in Him all were raised. His Father could raise Him up because humanity was redeemed, reconciled – through that once and for all sacrifice. We no longer see any person according to the flesh.

Series: Visiting Speakers; Christ In Me

Sun am 03 April 2011 – Dr William Hinn

Eccl. 3:14-15; Heb. 4:1-3; Gen. 2:1; Rom. 8:28-30; Eph. 2:10; Ps. 105:19; Gen. 37:19-20; 2 Cor. 5:17; Matt. 3:2; Luke 17:20; 1 Cor. 12:12; Matt. 6:33; Dan. 2:44; Dan. 2:21;  John 14:1

That which has been is now, that which is to be has already been and God requires that which is past. ‘I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.’ ‘That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past’ (Eccl. 3:14-15).

God finished us before He ever got started.

Don’t Give Up On The dream

Series: Visiting Speakers

Sun am 4 October 2009 – Karel Sanders

1 Samuel 16:1; Gen.37:2-11, 19; Gen. 50:20; Gen.45:5; Gen.41:51;

Matthew 5:13-16 (Message); Eph.1:11 (Message)

Our business is a people business. The issue is to uplift people, helping people to become what God planned for them to become. We have always overemphasized salvation grace in Africa, but we never taught them dominion grace. Many entered but they never took over. You have to get out of something to get into something and once you are in, you must move and grow. Our whole life is a growing process; don’t expect to be already holy. […]

The Remnant

Series : Visiting Speakers, Towards the Full Corporate Stature

Sun 9 August 2009 – Frans du Plessis

2 Cor. 5:15-17; Gen. 22:15-17; (Gal. 3:16)

An ambassador is a representative; he has given up his rights – including the right to his own opinion. Jesus said, “I don’t do anything unless I see my Father do it.” (John5: 19)

This apostolic season is not about a hierarchy, or titles. It is about giving up our lives to see Christ formed in a people. The task of this season is to bring Christ, who is planted in us as a seed, to full stature. It is to see Christ – this glorious representation of God Almighty – formed within the Corporate Man, a corporate Body.
