The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants… (Rev 1:1. See also Moffat & The Jerusalem Bible).
This book of Revelation is not full of predictions; John saw things from a position of elevated sight, and saw it as God sees them. It is a book of the unfolding testimony of Jesus Christ. “For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (Rev 19:10). This is the key to unlock the book of Revelation. When John fell down to worship Him who showed him all these things which must take place, he was told, “Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God”. Revelation is a prophecy, but the spirit of prophecy is a testimony of Jesus Christ. It is also an unfolding revelation of who He is – and the interpenetration of God and man. God is going to judge everything that tries to obscure the revelation of Jesus Christ. Revelation shows something that has been there – an unveiling. We will not see this through the eyes of the carnal mind. Revelation is to see with the eyes of the spirit; the reality behind what we see with our natural eyes. For example, “The whole earth is full of His glory.”( Isaiah 6:3) This is the truth, but can we see it with the natural eye?
There are good things of the past (like revivals etc) that prevent us from seeing the present unfolding of Christ in the earth. This generation is going to see the acceleration of this unfolding. The potential to see and participate in what God is doing presently, is given into the hands of this generation; the seals are taken off the book, knowledge is increasing rapidly and it is freely accessible. The way in which God touches people has been upgraded; God is expecting that we hear by faith. While we listen and hear, the miracles will take place. God is shifting to the corporate, He is shifting to the issue of the ages, an unfolding revelation of Jesus Christ that will come by us hearing and seeing.
Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me (Rev.1: 12) Job said, “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You”( Job 42). I am expecting eruptions while the Word of The Lord is coming. The new sound is here! There is a “sound”(frequency) to every season, to every movement in God, a sound to every Church that was planted by God. It is not the same with a “franchise” which operates with borrowed grace. This new sound in the earth is being released now and it is linked to the unfolding revelation and testimony of Jesus Christ.
And in the middle of the lamp stands I saw one like a son of man, (Moffat: …one who resembled a human being…) clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash.( Rev 1:13). We are going to see the voice; the voice is going to become flesh. Remember, Christianity is eschatology in action! The church has been in the end times for two thousand years.
The sound (voice) of a person conveys the nature of that person. The VOICE is being released, and it is the voice of the day of The Lord. “TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS.”( Hebr 4:12). Make sure you have ears to hear, for this sound will transform you. Hear it with your spiritual ears. Preaching is going to change wherever God’s bondservants are. There will be a migration of people from churches trapped in the old sound. Bone will find its bone. There will be the sound of many waters, a corporate sound, a corporate voice. This voice carries a tangible impartation. It manifests and will transform you and make you what it says. This is my intense desire to live in that dimension where I can hear and be impacted by that voice.
Look what happened at the grave of Lazarus: In this seventh miracle of Jesus, His voice sounded forth, “ Lazarus come out!” He came out, still bound but quickened by the sound of Jesus’ voice. Others had to unbind him. This sound is also linked to the sound of the seventh trumpet in the book of Revelation: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first”(1Thes 4:16).
Come with a hunger and thirst, hear with faith and things will happen. This is the Day of The Lord and we will not harden our hearts.
