We are celebrating the crucifixion and the resurrection of the Christ. It is a good time to reflect on it. Two thousand years ago it was “truth” that was put on trial. The reality of God’s word was put on trial by people who were devoted to lies. Jesus endured six trials in one day. Finally Pilate asked, “What is truth?” (John 18:33-38). Truth is a Person (John 14:6). Wikipedia says that truth means to be in accord with fact or reality, or fidelity, consistent to an original or standard. Truth can be explained as an exact representation of an original. From the beginning of time God had only one thing in mind, and that is to have an exact representation of Himself in the earth (Gen. 1:26). It was always our purpose to show forth His glory. We cannot judge truth by human standards. Truth can only be explained by the original, who is Christ. We need to bring everything in alignment to Him and see everything through Him. Truth is the incarnation or manifestation of the reality of God in the earth. We need to seek truth and hunger for truth because there are a lot of options out there.
In the beginning the Word was with God and He not only became flesh, but was full of grace and truth (John 1:1, 14). What was promised became visible; the spoken Word became visible. The proof of a new season, the evidence of a new season is word becoming flesh. When Jesus came it was the fulfilment of Word and prophecies from before the foundation of the earth; the Word made flesh! People who studied the law daily did not see it (John 1:11). It serves as a caution for us to be sensitive to what God is doing; to discern the times. When truth is revealed, it will not always be accepted. Some are immune to truth as some are immune to good advice.
In this new season God is revealing that which was hidden. We need to seek truth. It is not something that is hidden in such a way that you cannot find it. There is a continuous unveiling of truth taking place. It is readily available to us. It always comes with this one aim, to reveal God to us and to reconcile us to God (Heb. 1:3). He is an exact representation! We have to come into that. What God has done is a finished work, so there is a continuous unveiling taking place as we come into and show His glory in an exact representation. As all of us come into this oneness relationship with God, we follow Jesus Christ the pattern Son.
The corporate son is not the local church but it is the Body of Christ. What is expected of the corporate son in this new season? We hear this terminology but let us bring clarity. This new season is about the corporate son coming to maturity. God is demanding maturity. The Body of Christ needs to come into oneness. In every city there will be an expression of the corporate son, where bone finds its bone and we walk in the same direction (Ezek. 37:7-10). It is the Body of Christ finding one another. We need to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the Head (Eph. 4:15). A tree is known by its fruit (Luke 6:44). The mature corporate son will be known by His fruit.
The world is looking for something authentic. Religion is not going to do it. The world is a search for identity. When the Church comes into its fullness it becomes such a beautiful thing; it has the power to attract people. God is bringing His people, His Body into becoming an effective tool, an effective carrier of this Word. If the Church is not effective and has no impact, we leave a void, and that void will be filled by something else. We cannot afford to be inaccurately aligned.
It is the responsibility of the corporate son to proclaim, “Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt. 6:10). We need to take a stand and proclaim the Word of God, the truth of His Word. The whole of creation is anxiously waiting for the revealing of the sons of God (Rom. 8:20-22). He is looking for a place to lay His head but He will not lay His head on a Body that is not aligned and that is not in oneness. We have to come to a place where we reflect God’s glory. God is migrating us to a mature son who will be able to carry His presence with greater competence. God has overlooked many things in our infancy but that time has passed. God is calling for His glory to be manifested and demonstrated in a mature son. We need to move on from milk to solid food (Heb. 5:12-14). The mature corporate son will be known by its fruit. The Son of God, Jesus Christ must be revealed in the corporate son.
Wheat and darnel look the same in the infancy stage. Why can you not tell the difference between them? (Matt. 13:24-42). The purpose of maturity is to show who are the sons of the kingdom really are. Mature sons of the kingdom are identified by their fruit. Darnel is a weed but it almost resembles the true; like the lie resembles the truth. If Darnel is mixed with wheat flour, it poisons it. The known symptoms when it is consumed are intoxication, dizziness and paralysis. Darnel is the only known poisonous grain among the grasses. Truth with a little bit of lies is not truth at all. Diluted truth is not truth at all. You cannot accept even a little bit of falsehood with truth. If the enemy cannot stop something, he will duplicate it and throw a lot of false things into it. He will try to infiltrate the truth at all times. Jesus did not leave us alone to fight the battle. He said He would not leave us alone but He would give us the Spirit of truth (John 16:13). He will guide us into all the truth. The children of God are those who are led by the Spirit (Rom. 8:14). The corporate son must be accurately aligned to the Word of truth. God is building His Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it (Matt. 16:18).
The corporate son sees from the perspective of being seated in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6). That is who we are. That is the foundation that we should see things from. We cannot look at things like the rest of the world does. We are the overcoming company. We are called to rule. We have dominion in our genes. The corporate son lives from a finished work perspective. We need to see the end result. God has done a complete work. The corporate son is not divided but each member is actively aligned to his purpose in Christ. A divisive spirit is not from God. Christ cannot be divided. If anyone brings a divisive message or idea, it is not from God. The corporate son is the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matt. 5:13). David said, “Come, taste and see that the Lord is good” (Ps. 34:8). If we are the salt, we need to be able to say that. We need to be the fragrance. All glory and honour will go to Him because they see Him in us. We must come to a place where we can say, “Follow me as I am following Christ” (Phil. 3:17). We are predestined to become conformed to the image of His son (Rom. 8:29). There will be a manifestation of the corporate son in every city, the city Church. We need to know that even that is a first fruit. Not everybody will buy into it. The truth will not always be accepted by everybody. The corporate son is an overcomer’s company and our example is Jesus Christ the pattern Son. We walk in the freedom which He paid for with His blood. It must be the longing of our hearts to see the fullness come, the fullness of God must be distributed to us and we must be dispensers of His grace. Keep on asking and seeking and knocking until the fullness is revealed. We must migrate from inaccurate locations and positions to a place or position known as “in Christ”. Only then will we experience the fullness of God in our lives.
