Kingdom Kids - Roots & Fruit

There is a very well-known parable taught by Jesus in the gospels; The Parable of the Sower.

In this teaching we learn about the way in which seeds respond when sown in different soil types. Jesus teaches that the soil types represent our hearts when receiving His Word, and how the word responds depending on the condition of our hearts.

Each week we will look at one of the types of soil and then we’ll learn about more ways that the Lord uses plants to teach us biblical truths.

The Parable of the Sower can be found in Matthew 13:1-23, Mark 4:1-20 and Luke 8:4-15. I would like to encourage parents to read these scriptures with your children before beginning with Week 1 Activity below.

As we journey through this series, let’s try and identify any of these conditions within our own hearts and ask the Lord to help us to restore our hearts in order that His Word would take root and grow strong in us, that we may bear fruit that reveals who He is to others.
