With everything happening around us in the world, the Church is once again reminded of the reality that we are engaged in a spiritual battle. However we are not fighting for victory but we are fighting from a position of victory because of the finished work of the Cross.

The battlefield of the mind is where the enemy erects strongholds against the truth of God in the form of lies, deception, warped philosophies, accusation, condemnation etc.
Strongholds are Satan’s means to resist the advancement of the kingdom of God in our lives and the nations of the earth. 
The weapons of our warfare are not physical weapons but they are mighty through God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.
In order to stand we need to understand the importance of guarding the strategic places of the mind, heart and mouth from invasion of the enemy.
We are encouraged by Scripture to:
Eph 6:14 (NKJV) Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth…”
1Pet 1:13 (NKJV) Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ
2 Cor 10:5 (MSG) “Fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into structure of life shaped by Christ…”
