Worthy Is The Lamb That Was Slain!

The first mention of the Lord’s Passover was just before the Last Plague when the LORD prepared the Israelites for their exodus from Egypt. The Israelites had to kill a lamb, take some of the blood and put it on the lintel and two doorposts of each house where they lived. Then the LORD went through the land of Egypt to execute judgments against all the gods, but whenever He saw the blood, He PASSED OVER that house. This explains the real meaning of Passover. During the Last Passover just before the crucifixion, Jesus sat at a table with His apostles, they shared communion, and He explained the significance of doing that.

John the Baptist declared that Jesus was the LAMB of God, who came to take away the sin of the Kosmos (world)! The LAMB of God was slain – ONE sacrifice for sins for ALL time! Paul explains that God was in Christ reconciling the Kosmos (world, humanity) to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them! On the Cross, just before He breathed His last, Jesus declared: IT IS FINISHED!  Was Adam’s fall more successful than the Cross? No, absolutely not! As through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness, there resulted justification of life to all men!

Let’s join the voice coming from the throne: ” To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be blessing and honour and glory and dominion forever and ever”!!
