It is often the case that our favourite verses can be recalled from memory and recited prefectly. This can be a powerful tool at our disposal as long as we grasp the full context from which these verses have been extracted. Today, we examine one of these favourite verses and explore the full context to help us grasp the power and impact it had on the Israelites in exile, and unpack what we can learn from it for today.
