The visible hurt in our world is inescapable. Jesus said He came, not for the healthy, but for the sick. Though the gospel will clash with certain ideologies, Jesus encourages us to approach the world as a unhealthy patient in need of care. Peter states that we ought to hold Christ as Lord in our hearts, unwaveringly and boldly, while tending to the hurting world with gentleness and respect. A tough balance, but one that is necessary to reach those desperately in need of salvation and and grace.
