The Gospel of Mark Part 35
Date: 21 June 2026
Speaker: Justus Swart
In Mark 10:32–34, Jesus leads the way to Jerusalem with unwavering conviction, fully aware of the suffering, rejection, and death that await Him. In contrast, His disciples follow in confusion and fear, unable to grasp the weight of what He is saying. This powerful image of Jesus leading the way through hardship toward the fulfillment of God’s will teaches us that true discipleship means trusting God’s purpose, even when it involves trials and difficulty. As we face our own challenges today, we are reminded that (1) God has brought us to where we are, (2) He has provisioned us to endure and overcome, (3) this season will be used by Him for our growth, and (4) in His perfect timing, God will deliver us.
