The book of Haggai is dealing with the restoration of the Temple – not a Temple built with bricks and stone, but a Temple not built with human hands – the Temple which God is building in which you and I are living stones. Then the Lord goes on to say: “I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory…The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine…The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,…and in this place I will give peace.” (Hag 2:7-9) (more…)

 There are statutes and principles God has set in motion with creation. All creation is governed by these divinely instituted principles. The Psalmist saw this. You have ordained Your precepts, That we should keep them diligently.  Oh that my ways may be established To keep Your statutes! Then I shall not be ashamed when I look upon all Your commandments (Ps. 119:4-6). Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.  Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations; You established the earth, and it stands. They stand this day according to Your ordinances, For all things are Your servants (Ps. 119:89-91).
